Tell us what you need.
React to what we build.

This is the age of AI, and it can do remarkable things. We put it to work on as much of your app as we possibly can, and pass that on to you: a beautiful app that works properly, and that you can keep updating, over and over.

How we work

You tell us what you know, and the real app is in your hand from the first version. No throwaway prototypes: the screens you approve are the screens that ship.

  1. You tell us what you need

What it’s for, who will use it, and what you already have: your brand, rough screens, apps you like.

  2. AI builds the real app, to our rules

Our AI does the building, working to our own guidelines and checks, and an AI agent taps through every screen before you see it. It runs on your own phone. Anything not connected yet is a realistic stand-in, and we always tell you which.

  3. You use it and tell us what to change

In your own words. We go round steps 2 and 3 until you like it.

  4. It goes live

We swap the stand-ins for the real thing, check it all works, and it goes live in the App Store and Google Play when you choose.

  5. You keep improving it

Every new feature goes round the same way, as often as you like.

The whole app, end to end

Apps are big, complicated things. We do all of the mobile app development, end to end, and we’ve done the fiddly parts before, from payment providers to back-end systems.

You think about how it looks and feels to your customers. We and our AI agents worry about the rest.

Publishing
In your name, on your own App Store and Google Play accounts. We can look after them for you.
Private apps
For an app only your own organisation will use, Apple can distribute it privately, as a custom app.
The back end
Where the data lives, payments are taken and notifications are sent from. On our servers, managed by us, or on yours.
Connections
Most apps need to talk to the outside world: payments, your existing systems, other services. We’ll advise on how to connect it all up, and build it.

All of it is open: who publishes it, who hosts it, and who looks after it. We’ll agree it with you at the start.

We follow the technology closely, and adapt fast.

As new AI models and tools arrive, we put them to work, so you get better quality and lower costs. And we keep adding what businesses need from an app, such as A/B testing, analytics and reports.

Why it works

Less specifying, more reacting

You tell us what you want in plain words, not a hundred-page requirements document. After that you steer by saying what’s right and what isn’t, which is the part only you can do.

Quicker overall

Not instant: every round is designed, built and tested properly before you see it. But you’re using the real app early, not signing off drawings for weeks.

We automate as much as we can

Design checks run on every version, and an AI agent walks through the app on a simulated phone, screen by screen, the way a user would.

Fewer people in the way

AI does as much of the work as it can. People make the judgement calls.

What app development costs

It depends on the app. What changes is the journey: it’s quicker, it’s less frustrating, and what you see is what you get.

We’ll give you a straight quote before anything starts, in parts, so you can see what you’re paying for.

How a quote breaks down

The first buildonce

Everything it takes to get from what you tell us to the first version of your app, in your hand.

Each round of changesper round

You decide how many rounds you want, now and later.

Running itongoing, if we host

Hosting and managing the back end, or looking after your store accounts. Apple and Google also charge their own developer fees.

Support after launchongoing, if you want it

Looking after the app once it’s live: fixes, updates for new versions of iOS and Android, and help when you need it.

What makes it bigger or smaller: how many screens and features the app has, how much it has to connect to, and how many rounds you want.

Common questions

I have an idea for an app. Where do I start?

Tell us what it’s for, who will use it, and anything you already have: a brand, a sketch, apps you like. That’s enough for us to build the first version for you to hold.

Do you make app mockups or prototypes first?

No throwaway mockups. From the first version it’s the real app on your own phone, with realistic stand-ins for anything not connected yet. The screens you approve are the screens that ship.

How much does it cost to make an app?

It depends on the app. A quote comes in parts: the first build, each round of changes, and running and support if you want them. We’ll give you a straight quote before anything starts.

Do I need designs or a specification?

Some, yes, and most companies already have it: a logo, colours and fonts or a full design system, and a clear idea of what the app is for. Rough screens help too. If you’re missing pieces, we’ll help you fill the gaps. What you don’t need is a hundred-page specification.

What’s a stand-in?

Until the real services behind your app are built, stand-ins play their part, so every screen works in your hand: sample data instead of your live records, pretend payments instead of real ones, pretend sign-in. We always tell you which parts are stand-ins, and we swap each one for the real thing before launch.

What if I don’t like the first version?

Then tell us why. That’s the point: you react to the real thing, and the next version is built from what you say.

Can you turn my website into an app?

Yes, but it has to do more than your website does. Apple’s own review guidelines say an app should include “features, content, and UI that elevate it beyond a repackaged website.” We start by working out what that extra is.

Who owns the app?

The app is yours. It’s built on our platform, and the base it starts from, the build pipeline and the know-how behind it stay ours: we license them to you. It’s published in your name; where the back end runs and who looks after it, we agree at the start.

Tell us about your app.

What it’s for, and what you already have. We’ll come back to you about a first version.
